BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will meet Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban any time, Syed Ashraful Islam said on Wednesday morning.
However, the Awami League General-Secretary did not specify a date as he spoke during a meeting at Ganabhaban.
"The prime minister has invited her (Khaleda). For the sake of the country, we are willing to invite her a 100 times over," he said.
"She has received the invitation and can come to Ganabhaban and meet the prime minister any time."
The Ganabhaban meeting, chaired by Sheikh Hasina, was being held with wider Dhaka district leaders of the ruling Awami League in preparation for the national elections.
No comment could be obtained from the BNP before filing this report.
The matter of Khaleda Zia seeing Sheikh Hasina was mentioned by the Awami League a day after the phone conversation between the two was released unofficially.
