Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina failed to reach BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to talk to her over telephone on current political situation Saturday afternoon.
Mahbubul Haque Shakil, special assistant (media) to the prime minister, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
Hasina called the opposition chief multiple times at her residence over the red telephone between 1:15pm to 1:45pm, Mahbubul Haque said.
However, there was no response from the opposite side.
On Friday, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu had said the Prime Minister will telephone opposition leader Khaleda Zia anytime soon to talk about the formation of an all-party polls-time government.
