Hanif to AL men: Resist BNP’s anarchy

Mahbub-Ul-Alam Hanif, joint secretary of the ruling Awami League, has called upon party activists to resist any sort of anarchy, conspiracy and violence created by the opposition BNP.

He made the statement while addressing an emergency extended meeting of Awami League’s Dhaka metropolitan unit at the party’s offices at Bangabandhu Avenue.

Emphasising the importance of the upcoming general elections, Hanif said the country needs the ruling government back in power to maintain the flow of development.

“You [Khaleda] should seek pardon to the nation for your involvement with killings including the August 21 grenade attack,” said Hanif.

State Minister for LGRD Jahangir Kabir Nanok said: “We have information that Jamaat-Shibir may try and incite anarchy within the country on Friday. Awami League has to be on street from tomorrow to counter any such attempts.”
