AL releases ‘unfinished revolution’ song

The ruling Awami League has released a song of the “unfinished revolution” that was interrupted after the assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975 and because of the subsequent military and quasi-military regimes.

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, grandson of Bangabandhu and only son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, shared the video of the song on his official Facebook page.

The song portrays the development activities of the ruling government in different sectors. It shows the lifestyle of the rural people and their economic advancement.

It also depicts the peaceful coexistence of all faiths in the society.

From the spirit of 1971 Liberation War to the efforts of Bangabandhu have been integrated in the song that stresses completion of the unfinished revolution for a poverty- and hunger-free Golden Bengal.

In the song, the Awami League calls upon people of the country to move forward with “Joy Bangla” slogan.
