Nasir urges vigilance against rise of anti-liberation forces

Nasir Uddin Nasir, general secretary of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, has called for vigilance and unity to prevent the political rise of forces opposed to the ideals of the Liberation War.

He made the remarks at a program held at the TSC of Dhaka University on Thursday.

Nasir said everyone must remain alert and united to resist the political resurgence of anti-liberation forces.

He warned that such groups have recently secured a notable share of votes in elections, describing it as a warning sign for the future.

“Those who opposed the birth of Bangladesh and those who still refuse to accept or even mock the country’s independence are trying to reorganize. They must be confronted politically,” he said.

He claimed that forces opposed to independence are signalling their presence through votes in various elections. “Given this reality, our organization must be more prepared,” he added.

The Chhatra Dal leader said the student body believes in constructive politics. However, he stressed the need to take a strong ideological and organizational stance to resist efforts against the spirit of the Liberation War. “With the next election ahead, we must begin working from now,” he said.

He also noted that even after the Bangladesh Nationalist Party assumes power, leaders and activists across the country have been instructed to maintain patience and discipline.

Nasir further alleged that attempts are being made to create instability by spreading false propaganda over minor issues. He urged party members to remain cautious against misinformation and provocation.
