BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is set for an intensive campaign drive in the capital, joining 14 election rallies on Sunday and Monday as the party launches its final push ahead of the national election.
The rallies will be held across Dhaka North and South city areas, said BNP Election Steering Committee Spokesperson Mahdi Amin on Saturday.
Briefing reporters at the party’s Gulshan Election office, Mahdi said Tarique will address six rallies in Dhaka North on Sunday.
According to the schedule, the BNP Chief will speak at a rally in his own constituency, Dhaka-17, on the ECB premises at 2pm.
He will then address rallies in Dhaka-16 at Pallabi Ward-2 Lal Math near the metro station at 2:40pm, Dhaka-15 at Adarsha High School in Senpara, Mirpur-10, at 3:30pm, Dhaka-14 at National Bangla High School opposite Mirpur Model Police Station at 4:20pm, Dhaka-13 at Shyamoli Club ground beside Shyamoli Cinema Hall at 5:10pm, and Dhaka-11 at Sun Valley field in Satarkul, Badda, at 6pm.
Mahdi said on Monday, Tarique will join eight rallies, including one in his own constituency, across Dhaka South.
He will start the day with a rally in Dhaka-17 at Kamal Ataturk Avenue playground in Banani at 11am.
The BNP chief will then address rallies in Dhaka-10 at Kalabagan Krira Chakra ground at 12pm, Dhaka-8 at Pir Jangi Mazar Road at 1pm, Dhaka-9 at Basabo Tarun Sangha ground at 2pm, Dhaka-5 at Shaheed Faruk Road in Jatrabari at 3pm, Dhaka-4 at Jurain–Dayaganj Road at 4pm, Dhaka-6 at Dhupkhola field at 5pm, and Dhaka-7 at Lalbagh Balu Math at 6pm.
Through these rallies, Tarique Rahman will directly reach out to voters and seek votes for himself and BNP candidates, as the election campaign draws to a close.
