‘Government to remain in power until election schedule’

Environment Minister Hasan Mahmud on Thursday said the government would be in full power until the schedule of the national election is announced.

He made the statement while addressing the inauguration ceremony of a complex at the Rab-7 headquarters at Patenga, Chittagong.

Assuring those who believe there would be unrest after October 25, the minister said the government will not leave power under any circumstances.

Hasan Mahmud said:“The government would be turned into an interim government after the announcement of the national election schedule and then some power would be transferred to the election commission.”
