Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar has condemned the statement made by US President Donald Trump, in which he warned that 'Gaza will turn into hell' if all Israeli hostages held there are not released by Saturday noon.
In a statement sent to the media on Thursday afternoon, Golam Parwar expressed his condemnation.
He said: "Hamas was forced to suspend the release of prisoners because the Israelis violated the terms of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. In this context, US President Donald Trump has violated international law by threatening to turn Gaza into hell. His threat is completely unjust, inappropriate, and unacceptable."
"His provocative threat has shocked and astonished peace-loving people worldwide. By making such remarks, he has once again hinted at a conspiracy to ignite turmoil in the Middle East. His statement has sparked intense negative reactions globally and has created severe anxiety and tension among Arab nations."
The statement further said: "To ensure peace and stability in the Middle East, I urge US President Donald Trump to refrain from making such threats and instead compel the Israelis to fully implement the ceasefire agreement signed between Hamas and Israel."
