Zonayed Saki, chief coordinator of the Ganosamhati Andolon, has claimed that the Awami League attacked the Hindu community in Bangladesh to exploit these incidents by presenting them to Western nations.
Speaking at a public dialogue organized by Ganosamhati Andolon in the Chandana Chowrasta area of Gazipur on Friday afternoon, he said: "Fascist forces are not inherently strong. They are now conspiring with the backing of India."
He added: "Indian media is actively spreading misinformation against Bangladesh, trying to portray it as unsafe for minority religious communities. To counter this conspiracy, the people of Bangladesh must unite."
Saki also emphasized the responsibility of the Muslim majority, saying: "With greater numbers come greater responsibilities. All religious communities must be united, ensuring no one faces injustice. If any Hindu, Buddhist, or Christian is humiliated or attacked, it is not something for Muslims to be proud of. We must remain united."
Saki criticized the existing political system, describing it as a "fascist structure established by Sheikh Hasina."
He said: "The constitution has been manipulated to serve authoritarian purposes, and state institutions have been pocketed to oppress opposition parties. Thousands of cases have been filed, people have been abducted, killed, or detained without trial, all to enable rampant looting and exploitation."
