BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has returned home after getting fingerprinted at the US Embassy for her US visa application.
Khaleda Zia went to the US Embassy from her Gulshan residence around 2pm on Wednesday.
She then gave her fingerprints there. She also paid a courtesy call to the acting US ambassador.
Later, she reached his Gulshan residence at around 3:15pm.
BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed this information.
At that time, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was accompanied by her private secretary ABM Abdus Sattar, standing committee member AZM Zahid Hossain and Organizing Secretary Shama Obaid.
BNP internal sources said that all necessary arrangements have been made to send 79-year-old former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia abroad for specialized treatment.
BNP sources said that Khaleda Zia is scheduled to leave for the UK early next month.
From there, she may go to the US or Germany for advanced treatment.
Khaleda Zia is suffering from multiple serious health problems, including liver cirrhosis, heart, lung, kidney and eye problems.
