Bangladesh NAP: Incidents of mob justice dire sign for future of nation

The Bangladesh National Awami Party (NAP) has expressed concern and anxiety over the emergence of "mob justice" or "vigilante justice" in various parts of the country.

In a statement sent to the media on Saturday, NAP Chairman Jebel Rahman Gani and General Secretary M Golam Mustafa Bhuiya said that "mob justice" is a warning sign for society and the state.

They emphasized that such unwanted and unexpected incidents could not occur if the rule of law were upheld in the country.

They said that "mob justice" must be stopped at all costs to establish the rule of law. If this situation continues, the failure to curb it will inevitably lead to the demise of the "July-August revolution."
