BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has inquired about the condition of Hasnat Abdullah, a key coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, who was severely injured in an attack by Ansar personnel in front of the Secretariat and is now hospitalized at CMH.
BNP's Health Secretary Dr Rafiqul Islam visited CMH to check on Hasnat Abdullah’s condition on behalf of Tarique Rahman on Wednesday afternoon.
According to BNP, Hasnat Abdullah was severely injured in the attack by Ansar personnel and was found unconscious in front of the Secretariat.
BNP activists then admitted him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he was immediately placed in the ICU.
Following the news of his serious injuries, the party’s Senior Joint Secretary Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi rushed to Dhaka Medical College.
Dr Rafiqul Islam and other doctors from DAB provided him with immediate medical care.
Earlier, on Sunday, there was a clash between the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and Ansar personnel outside the Secretariat.
Hasnat Abdullah was severely injured in the attack by Ansar. He was initially admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and later transferred to CMH.
