The activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student affiliate of Jamaat-e-Islami, vandalised several vehicles and exploded six cocktails in the capital’s City College area in Dhanmondi on Tuesday morning.
The Shibir supporters brought out a procession in the area at 9:30am protesting the High Court order that declared Jamaat-e-Islami’s registration as a political party illegal.
Law enforcers responded by chasing the Shibir activists and dispersing them.
Anwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Dhanmondi police station, confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
None was arrested in the incident, said the OC.
