He demanded for his immediate release."
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said in a statement issued on Sunday that the government is desperate to retain power.
Seeing huge turnout in BNP's grand rally, the illegal government does not feel safe. They attacked the BNP's rally in a well-planned manner and shot and killed the leaders, said the BNP leaders.
“For that, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, one of the top leaders of BNP and the leader of the democratic movement, was taken away from his house by the law and enforcers.”
“Mirza Fakhrul Islam is 75 years old and seriously ill. We are expressing deep concern over the arrest of a leader like him,” said Rizvi.
BNP leaders are being arrested to create panic among the people. But the people of the country are united under the leadership of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. By arresting and oppressing, killing leaders and activists, power cannot be retained anymore, he said.
“I want to say clearly that the law enforcement forces and Awami terrorists have attacked, shot, killed and even vandalized BNP's grand rally on Sunday. It is also their responsibility,” added Rizvi.
