Home Minister: Cases filed if incidents occure, none is fake

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Saturday said that cases are registered when incidents take place, there are no fictitious cases.

“None of us are above the law,” he said at an event in Lakshmipur, regarding the opposition party’s allegations of fake cases being filed against its members.

"The allegation that the opposition's crackdown has increased ahead of the upcoming elections and movement is not true. BNP has carried out arson, vandalism and murders. The country has developed in the last 15 years. People don't like BNP anymore. They have turned away from them,” he added.

Noting the police are conducting regular activities, the home minister said only those who have warrants against them are being arrested. “There are no fake cases, it is a part of the police’s regular work.”

The home minister also described the BNP as an isolated party.
