The ruling Awami League has decided to hold a series of programs in the capital from next Monday.
The decision was taken at a meeting attended by top leaders of the party on Friday.
The meeting started at 11am at the political office of the Awami League president in Dhanmondi. Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader chaired the meeting.
The programs will be arranged in different parts of the country including Dhaka on October 16, 17, 18, 20 and 25.
Among them, Jubo League will hold a youth rally at Bangabandhu Avenue on October 16, Dhaka Metropolitan North and South Awami League will hold a peace and development rally at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on October 18.
Two days later, on October 20, the Dhaka Metropolitan (North and South) Awami League representative meeting will be held at the Dhaka District Awami League office in Tejgaon.
Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League will hold a development and peace rally in Badda on October 25.
Apart from this, three organizations of Awami League - Jubo League, Swechasebak League and Chhatra League will hold a rally in Comilla on October 17.
