Home Minister: Visa policy internal matter of US

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Saturday said the visa policy is an internal matter for the US and they have the discretion to grant or deny visas to any individuals.

"We have nothing to say on this. The visa policy will be applied to those who want to obstruct and sabotage the next election. Ahead of the upcoming elections, all political parties will want to come out with their various demands,” the minister made the remarks during an event.

“However, the elections will be held in a festive atmosphere and all parties will participate,” he added.

About BNP's ongoing road march, the home minister said: "The government is not afraid of any movement. BNP movement will be resisted by the government at any cost and the elections will be held in Bangladesh on time.”

Quoting former US president Barack Obama, the minister said: "Barack Obama once said that if you want to see the development of a country, visit Bangladesh, if you want to see a leader, see Sheikh Hasina."

He urged the people to vote for the Awami League to bring Sheikh Hasina back to power and continue the trend of development going forward.
