BNP is set to organize two rallies in Dhaka on Friday afternoon – one in Abdullahpur, Uttara, and the other on Shahid Farooq Road in Jatrabari.
The main objectives of these rallies are to call for the government's resignation and the formation of a non-partisan government.
The rallies are being organized by the Dhaka Metropolitan North and South BNP branches, aiming to demand several key actions, including the government's resignation, dissolution of Parliament, the establishment of a neutral non-partisan government, the formation of a new Election Commission, and the release of political leaders and activists, including Khaleda Zia.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the secretary-general of the party, made this announcement during a press conference held at the BNP chairperson's political office in Gulshan on Monday.
He also unveiled a 15-day program on the same day, which included events in various locations such as Jinjira, Keraniganj, and Gazipur in Dhaka district, as well as Bhairab, Brahmanbaria, Habiganj, Moulvibazar, and Sylhet on September 19-21.
In addition to Friday's rallies in Dhaka, a road march is planned for Saturday, which will take place in Barisal, Jhalkathi, Pirojpur, and Patuakhali. The road march will be led by Nazrul Islam Khan and Begum Selima Rahman, members of the party's standing committee.
Besides, a special prayer for the recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is scheduled to be held at various levels, including the district, metropolitan, upazila, municipal, and union ward levels, on Friday.
