Rashed made JCD acting president

Senior Vice-President Rashed Iqbal Khan has been made the acting president of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal (JCD).
He has been given the responsibility due to the illness of current president Kazi Rawnakul Islam Srabon.
The disclosure was made in a statement signed by Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of BNP, on Tuesday.
This decision will remain in effect until further notice.
According to party insiders, a party senior leader said the top leadership of BNP was not satisfied with Srabon’s role in the sit-in program at the entrances of Dhaka on July 29.
He was removed from the post as the party’s highest policymakers think that he could not discharge the responsibilities given to him on July 29, they added.
In this regard, Kazi Rawnakul Islam Srabon posted on his Facebook account, stating that he would recover and return soon to prove his worth.
On April 17, 2022, BNP announced a five-member partial committee of the JCD making its president, Rashed Iqbal Khan senior vice-president, and Saif Mohammad Jewel the general secretary.
