At least 10 people were injured in a clash between rival groups of Awami League at Bhabonhati village in Magura Saturday.
Police said the clash ensued while supporters of two local Awami League leaders, Abdul Hye and Golam Sarwar, locked into arguments over dominion in the neighbourhood.
A chase and counter-chase took place soon afterwards, taking the fight in the village market square. The clash left 10 people injured on both sides.
The injured were taken to the upazila general hospital, report UNB.
No one was arrested in this connection.
Police said the situation is now under control, though tension prevails in several places.
