The leadership of Juba Mohila League, the affiliate body of the Awami League, has been announced.
Daisy Sarwar has been elected president of Juba Mohila League while Sharmin Sultana Lilly became the general secretary.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader made this announcement on Thursday.
Earlier, Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the third national council of Jubo Mohila League.
The council took place at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan from 11am on Thursday.
The conference was chaired by the president of the organization Najma Akhtar and moderated by the general secretary Apu Ukil.
The Jubo Mohila League was founded in 2002, with a convening committee headed by Nazma Akhter and Apu Ukil.
It held its first council on March 5, 2014, electing the two as president and general secretary, respectively.
Nazma and Apu were reelected as president and general secretary at the organization's second national triennial council on March 11, 2017.
