Parash: Awami League deserves to be in government

Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash said Awami League has earned the right to form the government and be in charge of running Bangladesh.

He made the statement while talking to the journalists after holding the Jubo League's protest procession and sit-in programme organized in front of the Awami League central office on Bangabandhu Avenue against the terrorism and chaos of the “anti-state” BNP-Jamaat clique.

Parsh said: “This nation now has economic freedom thanks to the Awami League government. The peak of our development has been reached, and we will do whatever it takes to keep up and continue this trend. Through our deeds, we have gained the privilege.”

The Jubo League chairman said: “Put an end to non-political activities. In the name of democracy, you are now acting destructively. You people have demonstrated that you are not a political party but a radical separatist group.”

Issuing a warning against BNP, he urged the party to stop non-political activities in the country in the name of democracy.

"Their politics is to undermine people's rights," he said, adding that they are reluctant to give the people right to seek justice.

"Every act of BNP is against the people of this country," he added.

About his sufferings caused by BNP, he said: "I am a victim as BNP had blocked the way of trial of the murder of my parents by passing the Indemnity Ordinance. They blocked the way of trial of the murder of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members."

Whatever Sheikh Hasina says becomes reality, he remarked. “Sheikh Hasina declared that the Padma Bridge would be built despite the foreign lords' bloodshot eyes,” he added,

Sheikh Parash said: “If you (BNP) want to come to power, then wait for one more year. Let the election come. Then come to power and show your abilities.”

Jubo League general secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil and other central leaders were present at this time.
