There is no question of alliance with BNP, since it caused Jatiya Party to suffer in the past, said the leader of the opposition in parliament Raushan Ershad on Sunday.
“The countrymen want changes for development and peace in Bangladesh. It can only be provided by Jatiya Party, and not BNP,” she said upon returning to Bangladesh after a five-month treatment in Thailand.
After landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the afternoon, she expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for keeping track of her health condition in Bangkok.
She noted: “As I am back in Dhaka, I will sit with all party MPs, presidium members, and others to remove any confusion and misunderstanding. I am sure, we will be able to return to the political programs again.”
