Former state minister Patal dies

Syrul Kabir Khan, an official of Khaleda's press wing, told Dhaka Tribune that Patal breathed last around 10:30pm at a hospital in Kolkata where he was undergoing treatment. The three-time parliamentarian from Natore's Lalpur was an adviser to the BNP chairperson. He had also served as the state minister for social welfare. Patal was an alumnus of Rajshahi University, where he was involved with Chhatra League.
