Jubo League President Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash has said the BNP is afraid of asking the people for votes and it dreams of coming to power through the backdoor with the help of foreign powers.
The president of the Jubo League, the youth wing of the ruling Awami League, was addressing the triennial conference of the organization’s Habiganj unit at the local Jalal Stadium on Tuesday.
BNP leaders and activists were undertaking criminal activities on the orders of party acting chairman Tarique Rahman, Parash said.
“The BNP’s politics is creating chaos, spreading rumours and telling lies,” he said, before warning that: “If someone uses violent means, we will also be compelled to use force.”
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali and Jubo League General Secretary Borhan Uddin Chowdhury, among others, were present at the event.
