The BNP-led 18-party alliance is observing a demonstration at different upazila and Thana headquarters across the country Saturday to press home their demands including the restoration of the caretaker government.
Sources said BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir had announced the programme at their Nayapaltan central office in the capital on June 17, reports UNB.
Meanwhile, the leaders and activists will also protest the repression and oppression on the opposition men, Islamic scholars and clerics.
The programme is also meant for protesting the repression and oppression on the opposition leaders and activists and Alem-Ulama (Islamic scholars and clerics) and filing of false cases against them and demanding their release and restoration of the caretaker government system.
