The Juba League conference will not only bring in new leadership, but also a new chapter, said Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash.
“In the hands of new leadership, there are numerous challenges. Moreover, we must take a leading role in the next elections. If we wish to support the Juba League, we must conduct our politics in a transparent and fair manner,” he said.
He made the remarks in his inaugural address at the Nagar Juba League conference at a private conference hall in the Panchlaish area in Chittagong on Monday.
Parash claimed that a group was conspiring to prove that the present government has failed.

“One-eleven masterminds are out to implement this mischievous attempt. However, this will never be achieved as the country is progressing under Sheikh Hasina's capable leadership,” he added.
He mentioned: “Some media organizations have assumed the role of opposition parties. The media is the country's fourth pillar. A group is desperate to prove that the government has failed and they are always confusing people. Continuous democracy in the country is not their choice. They have no desire for the country to remain democratic.”
“From 2001 and 2006, when the BNP-Jamaat was in power, rampant corruption, injustice, abductions, and murders increased. The people were then forced to overthrow the government,” he alleged.
The Juba League leader stressed helping Bangladesh to become a developed country by 2041. “We must fight tirelessly to restore the people's leader Sheikh Hasina's government to power in 2023.”
