Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) mayor-elect Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul promised a developed, corruption free and nepotism free Rajshahi to its dwellers.

Bulbul said he believes in coexistence. People from all walks of life and even political leaders will get equal access to RCC.

“I will not be a political leader, or a mayor. I will try my best to be a friend, a servant of the people,” he said.

Bulbul he would continue the development works the outgoing mayor took in hand and he will form a managing committee to find the ways to do so.

“Employment opportunities will be created for women and the youth. Rajhshahi will be a real educational city. An agricultural university will be set up soon,” he added.

“The mandate Rajshahi people gave to me is a silent revolution against wrong decisions and the oppression of people. They have lost faith on the government,” he said. Government should resign as fast as possible and there should be free and fair national polls under a caretaker government, Bulbul said.
