Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud has said that the fraternity and harmony between Bangladesh and India are written with the letters of blood, and that the friendship is inseparable.
But, some political parties, including the BNP, are trying to deny the contribution of India and have always made anti-India statements. “The main motive of those parties is to spread anti-India sentiment…and such statements usually increase during the polls, he said while attending a discussion at the National Press Club on Tuesday, reports BSS.
“The politicians, who give statements against India in front of the Press Club and Naya Paltan and on TVs, also go to the Iftar party of the Indian High Commission.”
He hoped that the BNP would shun the path of such ill politics.
The contribution of India to the emergence of Bangladesh would be written in golden letters till the existence of Bangladesh, said Hasan, also a joint general secretary of the Awami League.
