District Jamaat-e-Islam called a half-day hartal in the district for Sunday protesting the arrest of party men, including the district unit Jamaat senior nayeb-e-ameer.
Satkhira district Jamaat ameer principal Abdul Khalek Mondal confirmed the matter to banglanews.
He also warned of enforcing tougher agitation programmes in future if the leaders are not released.
The party will observe the shutdown from 6am to 12pm.
Earlier, Police held district Jamaat senior nayeb-e-ameer professor Moinul Haque from Kolaroa cattle market on Thursday and upazila Jamaat senior nayeb-e-ameer Kazi Nazrul Islam on Wednesday.
