Former law minister and Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Abdul Matin Khasru, MP, was put on life support at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on Tuesday morning as his health condition deteriorated.
Matin Khasru's private secretary Mahbub Hossain told this newspaper that he was taken to life support around 11:30 am on Tuesday. Earlier, he was brought to the cabin on March 31 when his condition had improved.
Matin Khasru was infected with Covid-19 and was under treatment at the hospital from March 16.

On April 1, his Covid-19 test result came negative but suddenly his physical condition deteriorated.
Abdul Matin Khasru is the member of parliament of Comilla-5 (Brahmanpara-Burichang) constituency for the fifth time.
During the Awami League led government of 1996 to 2001, he served as the law minister.
Recently he got elected as the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
