To rebuild the country by ensuring equality, human dignity and social justice for the people, as promised during the Liberation War, a new political party, Jono Aakankhyar Bangladesh, is set to formally announce its emergence on Saturday.
Earlier on May 27, 2019, the expelled leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, Mojibur Rahman Monju, announced the name of the new party.
Through a press release on Thursday, the party leadership said the full convening committee of the party would be announced on Saturday at a press conference at its central office in Paltan.
The committee has been formed on the basis of the views of those who have been involved in this initiative at the district and divisional levels across the country, the press release said.
Initiatives have been taken to distribute food items among 20,000 families on the occasion of the party's debut, it added.
