Awami League has issued a warning against people operating fake accounts and pages on social media sites using its name.
They issued a press release in this regard signed by Awami League Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua on Monday afternoon.
The press release said the party will take legal action if the perpetrators of those fake accounts do not close their pages immediately.
“We have noticed that some fake Facebook accounts and pages are using the name of Awami League and spreading false and misleading information on social media platforms,” mentioned the press release.

The ruling party said they only have these seven official accounts and pages on social media, and all accounts other than the aforementioned seven accounts are fake.
