Family members of Khaleda Zia have claimed that the BNP chairperson has not been receiving adequate medical care in the country and needs to taken abroad immediately.
Khaleda Zia’s sister Selima Islam made the statement before journalists after visiting Khaleda at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon.
Saying that Khaleda’s health condition has deteriorated alarmingly and needed advanced treatment immediately, Selima said Khaleda is now unable to move her fingers and toes and not able to stand or sit straight due to severe pain in her legs.
The family members of Khaleda Zia arrived at BSMMU around 3:30pm and left the hospital at around 4:30pm.
Shamsuddin Didar, a member of BNP chairperson’s press wing, was also present at the hospital.
