Two factions of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, student wing of BNP, locked in a clash at the patry's Naya Paltan central office.
The Tuesday incident was meant as a sign of protest for forming the central committee without determining age limit.
The expelled vice president of the currently defunct committee, Iktiar Rehman Kabir, said: “Those who were already inside the office vandalised the CCTV camera, chair and tables. The activists attacked us when we tried to enter, where one of our members was injured.
“If the age limit is not reinstated, this council will not be valid. Also, if the demands are not fulfilled by Wednesday, the syndicate will be responsible for any untoward incident in future."

Earlier in the day Tuesday, BNP Publicity Affairs Secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie said the protestors are young activists of the student wing.
He, however, said the activists should end their conflicts by heeding the senior Chhatra Dal leaders.
