Inu: BNP not a trustworthy party for democracy

Claiming that BNP is not a trustworthy political party for democracy, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Saturday said the party has repeatedly proved that it is a patron of war criminals and militants. Inu, also the president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), came up with the remark while talking to journalists at the anniversary program of a private television channel in Kushtia. "BNP talks about democracy but keeps war criminals, Jamaat men and militants in their pockets," he said while replying to a question from reporters. BNP's demand for Khaleda Zia's release from jail is a conspiracy to foil the upcoming election, he said. Additional Deputy Commissioner Habib Hassan, District JSD President Golam Mohsin and Joint Secretary Zillur Rahman were also present at the event.
