Manna released on bail

He was released from the jail at 6:45pm Sunday after his bail papers reached the jail, Senior Superintendent of Police (Prison) Jahangir Kabir told the Dhaka Tribune. The former Awami League leader was arrested on February 25, last year, after an audio clip of his telephone conversations with BNP leader Sadeque Hossain Khoka and another unknown person was leaked. He was charged in two sedition cases at the Gulshan police station. Last month the Supreme Court upheld his bail order conditionally until police submit probe reports in the cases.
