Jatiya Party lawmaker Pir Fazlur Rahman has called upon the home minister to issue a statement on the recent alleged misdeeds of a section of policemen.
Referring to at least four incidents of repression and harassment of common people by the police members, the JaPa MP sought Home Minister's statement under Rule 300 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament.
"Who are they among the police men? I wanted to know from home minister what actions have been taken against those who are doing heinous activities and tarnishing the image of policemen," Fazlu said in the Parliament on Thursday.
