BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has said building several flyovers in Dhaka is not the symbol of development.
She made the remarks while addressing a rally at her party's Nayapaltan headquarter in the capital on Tuesday afternoon.
"No development is taking place in any corner of the country. So people are coming to the capital for jobs but they are not getting any.
"Ruling party is here only for looting and sending money to abroad."
Khaleda also called upon the ruling government to hold fresh elections to prove its popularity.
This is her first public rally in front of the party’s Nayapaltan central office in four years.
The BNP chief held her last public rally in Narayanganj's Kanchpur on December 13, 2014.
