BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will not appear before a Dhaka court in the Zia Charitable and Zia Orphanage Trust graft cases today because of her illness.
Kahleda’s counsel Md Sanaullah Miah confirmed the Dhaka Tribune: “The BNP chairperson will not be able to appear before the court because of her illness.”
The court of Judge Abu Ahmed Jamadar is scheduled to record statements of the witnesses in connection with the Zia Charitable Trust graft case on Thursday.
The Special Judge Court 3 was set up on the Parade Ground of Dhaka Central Jail Directorate at Bakshibazar in the capital for the trial.
A total of 26 out of 36 prosecution witnesses, including the plaintiff of the case, ACC deputy Director Harun-ur-Rashid gave depositions before the court in the Zia Charitable Trust case.
