Ten people, including a central committee leader of Jubo League, has sustained injuries during a factional clash in the district's Rajarhat upazila.
Jubo League Central committee Organising Secretary Imran Khan and district unit Jubo League Convener Ruhul Amin Dulal are among the injured.
Rajarhat police station OC Abdur Rashid said the clash ensued between the supporters of district unit Jubo League Joint Convener Redwanul Haque Dulal and Ruhul Amin Dulal. “Being informed, the police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.”
Ruhul Amin told the Dhaka Tribune: “The supporters of Redwanul attacked us while we were attending the tri-annual council of the upazila unit Jubo League at Rajarhat Pilot High School ground on Friday afternoon, leaving 10 people injured.”
Dhaka Tribune tried several times to reach Redwanul for his comment. But he was not available.
