The district unit of Chhatra Dal has declared a half-day hartal for Thursday in the district, protesting the arrest of its president.
Party's district Secretary Shofiqur Rahman Khan declared the hartal on Wednesday afternoon.
Earlier, Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested Chhatra Dal President Khondokar Rashedul Alam on Tuesday afternoon.
