Jamaat-e-Islami's Lobonchora unit ameer Mia Akramuzzaman Raja, who was arrested in a violence case, has died at Khulna Medical College Hospital.
Mia, 62, died at the hospital around 9pm Sunday.
Khulna District Jail Super Kamrul Islam said: “Mia was taken to the hospital when he suddenly fell sick in the jail around 8:30pm.”
Confirming Mia's political identity, Lobonchora OC Sardar Mosharaf Hossain said he was arrested on September 26.
