A meeting of the ruling Awami League-led 14-party alliance will be held Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 11am at Awami League President also Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi political office in the capital, said a press release issued on Sunday signed by AL Office Secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap.
Spokesperson of the alliance and Awami League Presidium Member Mohammad Nasim urged the central leaders of each party to attend the meeting on time.
Awami League sources said the 14-party central leaders are expected to discuss on BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's recent demand of midterm general polls.
After ending the meeting, they will urge BNP chief Khaleda Zia not to celebrate the fake birth day by cutting cake on August 15, the day of the death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, party sources added.
