BNP has expressed disappointment, wonder for upholding war tribunal’s death sentence to its leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury by the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.
Dr Asaduzzaman Ripon, spokesperson of BNP, came up with the reaction in a press briefing on Wednesday afternoon at the party’s Nayapaltan Headquarters in the capital after the Supreme Court passed the order on Wednesday morning.
"The BNP leader has become deprived of justice," said Ripon.
He expected that the BNP leader would get justice in the review petition.
A four-member bench headed by Chief Justice SK Sinha has upheld a war tribunal’s death sentence to BNP leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury for committing crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.
