A Dhaka court yesterday denied bail to former BNP lawmaker Syeda Asifa Ashrafi Papiya in nine cases launched with different police stations in the capital on charge of violence.
Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Kamrul Hossain Mollah passed the order following hearing on her bail plea in the cases.
On June 16, three Dhaka courts sent the BNP leader to jail rejecting her bail petitions after her surrender on expiry of her earlier sanctioned bail by the High Court in the cases.
