Joy: AL to turn Bangladesh into developed country by 2041

Prime Minister's Information and Communication Technology Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy has said Awami League's plan was to turn Bangladesh into a developed country by 2041, BSS reported.

Joy, an ICT specialist, while distributing Joy Bangla Youth Award among 30 young champions from different sectors, said: “Our planning is not limited up to 2021. Our plan, the pledge of the Awami League government is that we will establish our country as a middle income country by 2021, a country free of poverty, hunger. Our planning is to turn Bangladesh as a developed nation by 2041.”

With a vision to scout out the young achievers across the country, unfold their untold success stories and untie them under one platform, Centre for Research and Information (CRI) organised the function.

"Today, the youths who have been awarded, will take Bangladesh forward and that will be the victory for Bangladesh. I believe the youths will take Bangladesh ahead,” said Joy, also son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Joy also said it is the youths, who will take Bangladesh further ahead.

Presided over by CRI executive director Shabbir Bin Shams, the ceremony was addressed by CRI trustee and State Minster for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu, State Minister for Science and Technology Yafes Osman, State Minister for Woman and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki, State Minister for Post, Telecommunications & Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Nayeem Razzaq, MP, Abul Kalam Azad, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, social welfare secretary Nasima Begum, among others.
