Bangladeshi mountaineer Musa Ibrahim, who was rescued six days after being trapped at base camp of Mount Carstensz Pyramid in Papua Province of Indonesia, is returning home on Wednesday.
He confirmed the matter in a Facebook post Tuesday morning.
Musa was rescued, along with two Indians, on Monday but he was not able to leave the country as his passport was illegally seized by helicopter company AsiaOne following a dispute over payment.
In his recent post, he said: “The situation is solved as we negotiated with the helicopter company at police station of Timika. So, we hope to fly from Timika tomorrow and to Bangladesh on 22nd of June. May long live Bangladesh.”
Earlier on Monday, he posted a status accusing AsiaOne of illegally seizing his passport and demanding $11,000 for rescuing him.
