3rd death anniversary of journalist Sadeq Khan Thursday

The third death anniversary of Sadeq Khan is to be observed on Thursday.

Sadeq Khan was a language movement hero, freedom fighter and journalist. Born on January 1, 1933, he passed away on May 16, 2016 at age 83. 

Sadeq Khan was the eldest son of late Justice Abdul Jabbar Khan.

He was an active worker of the then communist party. He was a writer, researcher, filmmaker and a renowned art critic.

He was also a contributing editor at Weekly Holiday and chairman of the Gonoshashtya Kendra Trust. He was a recipient of the state honour Ekushe Padak award in 2002.

Sadeq Khan was the director and producer of a pioneer Bengali art film “Nodi o Nari.”
