Margarita Mamun gets married

Olympic champion in 2016 in rhythmic gymnastics Russian-Bangladeshi Margarita Mamun married the silver medallist of the 2008 Olympic Games of the Russian swimmer Alexander Sukhorukov. The wedding ceremony was held on Friday in Moscow, Russian, reports R-Sport.

Alexander made a proposal to Margarita in December 2016 during the "Ball of the Olympians of Russia." Margarita Mamun became champion of the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in all-around. The 21-year-old athlete won eight gold medals at the world championships and four golds at European championships. The 29-year-old Sukhorukov - silver medallist of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing in the 4x200 meter freestyle relay, as well as a two-time winner of the European Championships and the World Championships in short water.
